Re-creating our Future

Habits are a set of automatic unconscious thoughts, behaviors, and emotions that are acquired through repetition.


These memorized set of behaviors and emotional reactions become like a computer program.


So how do we begin to change the program and create a new habit or behavior?


We can re-create our future by rehearsing the desired outcome in our mind. By closing our eyes and mentally rehearsing some action — if we are truly present — rewires the brain. It’s important to feel the emotion along with seeing the image. The brain does not know the difference between what we are imaging and what we are experiencing.


Write your desired outcome down in the present tense. Now, picture yourself feeling and behaving that way. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
